Orange Aprons

Plus One is officially E-M-P-L-O-Y-E-D!

Starting Saturday he will be sporting an orange apron at a major home improvement store in the lumber department. Someday, our grandkids will get to hear all about how their Abuelo got a college education....and then helped people pick out 2 by 4s for their deck projects.

But, yes, employed is employed and I'm not knocking it!

We did take a day off - and trekked to the Swedish furniture store with the blue and yellow signs. Under the self-imposed budget - $13 total for some nifty kitchen things.

Dinner was well-rounded but nothing that knocked anyone's socks off. Cajun Style Stuffed Peppers, sans shrimp. I used yesterday's slow-to-thaw pizza dough to create personal cheesy bread "pizzas" which were more raved about than the peppers. It reminds of the adage "give a kid a toy, she will play with the box" And some steamed corn on the side because I can't let the niece/nephew suffer any early-life vitamin deficiencies.
