Plus One didn't get the job. That's fine. But the jerks at the org wrote him a typical "not you, someone better" letter - and they included their website address and said if he knew of anyone looking for employment, to please pass along the address!!!!!! Are you kidding me?????
I wanted to hit something with a frying pan.
Instead, I made oatmeal cookies. Excellent Oatmeal Cookies.
And for dinner I made us tilapia broiled with a sauce over it that sounds gross - mayo/shredded cheddar/lime juice/minced garlic/salt/pepper - but is really good - and some noodles on the side. Oh, and a simple green salad.
There are few things in life that food can't fix. I guess death but other than that I'm coming up short on other ideas.
Speaking of ideas. I worked on my non-kitchen to do list and it's rather lame. I deleted it.
I also made myself feel better by realizing/convincing myself that the reason bro and sis-in-law deserve to do the grocery shopping, too. Maybe they find it enjoyable - how novel. The activities in this area are limited, so they probably consider grocery shopping on the top of their weekly reason-to-go-out-and-accomplish-something list.
He was very cool about writing down everything we asked for. So while earlier I thought there might be a conspiracy to steal my job, I realize that they just don't want to give up the very cool Shady Maple ventures.
