Tacos and Rice Krispie Treats

Apologies for the slow to load, bouncing around ads and gadgets on the rightside. I'm learning.

Our new (to us) car was doing a funny jump thing every mile or so, so Plus One took it down the road and had to drop it off overnight. This could be good for our wallets because it will prevent us from going out to eat/shop/justify unnecessary purchases and keep us home job searching. Or cooking. Or fixing the blog.

We had a taco bar with all the good stuff for dinner - flour tortillas and corn shells, veg refried beans with chopped onions, tomatoes, lettuce, guacamole, cheese, sour cream and a pot of steaming rice on the side.

Dessert was the baby's favorite.

Job Update: Plus One's bank interview went fine. It's sweet to have to drive 2 hours round trip for a 25 minute interview and find out the position pays less than a ticket to the movie theater. No job should pay less than a ticket to the movie theater! That should be our country's new gold standard for "living wage" The result would either be companies would raise their salaries OR the industry would pressure theaters to lower their ticket prices. Either way, everyone would win.

Tomorrow's plan is a crockpot pot roast. I don't think I will even end up eating it but the roommates love meat and I need to avoid a cooking adventure that could sidetrack me from some serious job searching that needs to occur.
